Broccoli Pizza Crust
Ingredients
1 lb broccoli, florets, separated
1 cup oat flour
2 Tbs psyllium husk, finely ground
1/4 cup basil, leaves
1 Tbs olive oil (or avocado oil)
3 eggs
1 tsp salt
Directions
Prep
1. Wash and dry broccoli florets. Reserve stems for another use
[shredded for salads].
2. Preheat oven to 400° F and line a baking sheet with parchment or a
silicon mat.
Make
1. Add broccoli and oat flour to food processor. Process until broccoli is
very finely chopped and incorporated into the flour.
2. Add in psyllium husk, basil, and olive oil and process for about 1
minute.
3. Add eggs and salt and process until a dough forms [it will be wet].
4. Add dough to the lined baking sheet and spread into any shape[s]
you prefer, making a ridge around the outside to prevent toppings
from spilling off. You can use wet fingers or spatula to press/spread
dough into shape. Make as thick or thin as you like.
5. Bake for about 20 mins. until firm and edges are slightly browned.
6. Remove from oven and add toppings then return to oven for another
10 minutes. The topping suggestions are below in notes.
7. Remove from oven, let stand for 10 minutes then cut with pizza cutter
and serve.
